At Woodstock School, we tailor our class groupings to each individual’s needs. Our aim is for children to be grouped by year group, however where this might not be appropriate for reasons of emotional development, children may be placed with younger or older peers. The arrangement of classes may change depending on the pupils on roll. For example, there may be times when we have two Year 3 classes, but sometimes we will only need one. In maths lessons there may be some temporary movement of pupils so that learning can be with others of a similar ability. Each class has a teacher and a HLTA, to which both deliver lessons.
