Bristol University Neuroscience Festival

On 22nd March pupils from Ash, Cherry and Chestnut attended this yearly festival that takes place in the Wills Memorial Building.  They had the opportunity to see examples of brain evolution, hold sheep brains, learn about different areas of the brain, test their brain speed, see if their concentration was stronger than that of a friends, test whether being distracted could lessen the sensation of pain, and much, much more. A favourite activity was to be electrically wired to a friend and then control their hand movements through moving their own hand!

All pupils were a credit to the school, very focused and interested in all the exhibits for more than two hours!  Their interest and good behaviour was commented upon by staff at the venue.  Thank you to Bristol University for hosting such a fantastic event.
